National day of action

2/17 is a national day of action. Even if you can’t make this event in person (or if you have a different rep), each one of us can call and write our representative and demand impeachment and demand ICE Out of our cities. Letters are most effective when they’re personal saying something like I’m a Mom, I’m a teacher, etc and why you feel this way. 

You can also do things like write a letter to the editor, share ideas online, call someone you know and encourage them to call. There is a toolkit at tinyurl.com/lobby that gives ideas of actions and scripts and events. 

There will be a protest outside Bill Foster’s office on Tuesday 10-12.  I will be there at 11.  

If Bill Foster is not your representative, you can also set up an event at your representative’s office. If you will not be able to make the protest on Tuesday, you can drop off a letter with me on Sunday at the Elburn library event.
