Movies with a Message, October 10th,2026
Hi Mountain people
As some of you know, Roxy Goss has been organizing "Movies with a Message" at the Gilpin County Library. The next one is "Iron Jawed Angels". This movie tells the true story of Alice Paul and Lucy Burns, two of the radical activists who pushed for the constitutional amendment that guaranteed women the right to vote in the US. There is discussion about the movie after the showing concludes.
Our next working meeting will be October 15th.
October 17th is the next big No Kings Day protest. Mountain Forum for Peace will be out in Nederland Peace Garden on that day from 10-11:30am. The focus at this protest is "Get Out The Vote". We can do some sign making at the meeting on the 15th.
