Mountain Women Move Mountains, Sunday, November 2 meeting

Hello Mountain people
Sorry forgetting this meeting notification out so late, but life is still confusing since the fire and we do have an extra hour in the morning tomorrow! So next meeting will be hosted by Valerie Jacobson at 3 Sundown Trail, Nederland. 5pm . (This is Val...I think we can expect really good food,but bring your beverage of choice). You can park  at the Elementary School which is right next to her home.
Agenda for the evening:

1. Updates and information sharing from attendees (what have you notices, is bothering or important to you, etc.)

2. Snatching of children of a legal asylum seeker by ICE in Durango and the violation of citizen rights

3. Watching portions of the Reality of Project 2025

4. Create action item list, fill out shame cards or thank you cards, send messages to people

5. Action on Cheetohead's efforts to revoke the BLM's  Public Lands Rule. Agency is accepting public comments n this through November 10th.Now is our time to make calls.

Agenda:
Follow-up on No Kings Event
Discussed the following topics:
Attendees provided updates on the event in Nederland and some comments about other events
in the area. Overall sentiment was that it was well attended and evidenced the support from the
community.
What is important to people attending the meeting:
Gussie:
a. Visibility Brigade Planning for Veterans Day (Gussie and Dave will be gone)
b. SNAP-Immediate need to get funding for food for people
1. Donate to Food Pantries
2. Pressure on Secretary of Agriculture to let up?
3. Tell our Congress people that we should fund it through state funds and
persevere and show that Democrats want you to have the stuff.

Roxy:
a. Concerned about Food Pantry being overwhelmed in a week
b. People’s well being is important and how do we support that
Dave:
a. Send the MMWM list to everyone
Val:
a. Protecting our National Parks
b. Get movement of women to protect the parks--tampons, no junk food,
b. Support the Sierra Club and others
Ela:
a. Letter to US Women Representatives
b. MAGA conversion
1. Ela to provide PDF written by former MAGA

Action Items:
Address, sign and send the letter to the rep you agreed to.
Think about the Visibility Brigade sign for Veterans Day

Thank you for Boulder County Sheriff for being there during the protest - Gussie
