First a "Thank You" to all who could make it to the May 11th Mother's Day Visibility Brigade Event. We had a good turn-out and positive responses.

This coming Sunday's agenda (not in any particular order):
- If you can-Please bring a can/jar of pasta sauce as a donation to the Gilpin Food Pantry.
- Discussion of the next Visibility Brigade event. Both Roxy and Jeannie Nicholson have brought up the idea of focusing on the threats to Medicaid funding. Several National groups are organizing to protest Medicaid cuts on May 31st. Jeannie has asked if our group would be willing to participate. We would need to come up with a "sign-bite" for our large letter signage.Also need to know who could be there.
- Our US House Reps will be back in their districts May 23rd-June 2. This would be a good time to send out "Shame"postcards to Bobo and Jeff Crank. I doubt that either of them feels any shame , but we should at least speak up.
- Socializing
- If enough of you are interested I do have the Civics 101 webinar and/or slide show. This is part of an ongoing series of refresher courses on how our government is suppose to work. This first one is "Checks, Balances, and Beyond".
