Hope you had a pleasant 4th of July . Thanks again to those who could come and walk in the Nederland 4th of July parade ...where Dave made his stunning debut as the Statue of Liberty on a unicycle.
If you can please bring a donation of breakfast cereal or personal care items for the Gilpin Food Pantry.
I know many of us are feeling downhearted from the events of the last week.The best thing we can do is keep going with making our voices heard and helping those who need it now.

- I'm hoping to show a short podcast on how to add native plants to your yard to help out pollinators. Climate change is a big issue ( as shown by the ongoing extreme weather events) and this is a way we can help as individuals by creating homes for our bees and butterflies. Ela has done this around her home and will give us some tips on gathering and planting native seeds. Not sure if the podcast will be posted by this Sunday as it just aired on RWBlues a day ago. I know this might seem frivolous, but I think we all need something positive and local to do along with trying to protect our democracy.
- Discussion about participating in a July 17th event or creating our own. This is the next big national rally/protest event. There are a number of "GoodTrouble" events set for that day.
- Updates on: Joan's letter to Chris at the Mountain Ear about our group, future Letter to the Editor, possible use of BlueSky account?, future action on Day of Lobbying for TroubleNation Groups in Colorado.
- Lots of actions: pushing back on ICE, helping low-income families impacted by Texas floods, ethics rules for the Supreme court, and several more....and for those of us feeling cranky there are always reasons to send out SHAME cards.
Hmmm...I think that is about it.
