- Socializing
- Many of you may have heard the Dr Warren Hern is retiring. I would like to send him and his staff a group "Thank You " card for all the amazing work he has done over the years to take care of women
- Ela had a great idea for our next "Visibility Brigade" action. We would do it on Mother's Day with the focus on how the SAVE act would impact the right of women to vote. We need to come up with a sound-bite (sign-bite?) ....something along the lines of "Moms get to Vote!" . or "The "R"s don't want your Mom to vote." And pick a location for this action. This is assuming that the SAVE act has not yet been voted on by the Senate by Mother's Day
- Action on sending comments to the OPM about reclassifying federal workers so the Cheeto-head administration can more easily fire federal employees. Comment period closes on May 23. Action on other items from the AoC checklist.
- There was some interest at the last meeting in seeing the Civics class video for those who would like a review on the government class you took in high school. I will show this at the end of the meeting for those who would like to stay and watch it.
