Please join us for a “work” meeting this Monday night.
6 – 7:30 PM at Junction361 in Fairport Village (come early to grab your beverage and chair)
We’ll divide into work group stations, you choose. And feel free to rotate.
1. Postcard Writing — They’re baaaack! In this group you’ll hand write a note on post cards going to Florida in support of the upcoming special election.
2. Peaceful Protest Signs — Let your disbelief and rage fuel your creative juices, help make signs to use at Tuesday’s peaceful protest. Even if you’re not going, we could use your help. But if you are going… you get to make YOUR sign. See details on attached flyer.
3. 5Calls & Emails — This station is for those of you wanting to learn how to download the app or gain a few pointers on how to make effective calls or emails. We need you. We know it’s challenging… but we need to continue to flood them.
Of course, moral support and discussion and “Can you believe its?” will be at every station.
We understand life is full. Come when you can, lend your talent or your voice or simply your presence when you can. We get it, life gets in the way. There is no push or pressure to protest, write postcards, send emails, make calls. Sometimes it’s about just being with others who feel like you do. No judgement zone.

OTHER NEWS
- Tuesday March 4 we are peacefully protesting outside of the Federal Buillding downtown Rochester to show our concern to our Senators and that we support and encourage them to fight back. PLEASE let us know if you plan to attend and want to carpool. Elizabeth had reached out to other Roc orgs to attend with us.
- Notes from our last ‘regular’ meeting are uploaded to our Trouble Nation GRIT page for future reference. We do not take notes on alternate night meetings that feature GRIT Chat Cafe or GRIT Fuse. THANK YOU Kristy for taking the time to take notes and share them!
- Tamara, our treasurer is setting up a bank account (we’re so official!) this week. A quick note, if you have any GRIT related expenses, we ask that you send Tamara a note BEFORE you spend money, so that the $ can be approved as per our teeny-tiny-micro budget prior to the expenditure.
- Looking for volunteers to invite and organize speakers! LMK if you’re interested!
- Our email list is getting big! We’ve decided to blink copy, but if you want to reach anyone, just let us know.
