Central Midlands Good Troublemakers Meetup 2:00 PM Sunday 8/4/24 at Zorba's in Irmo

Please plan to attend our first in-person meetup, this Sunday, 8/4/24, at 2:00 PM at the private room in Zorba's in Irmo. Let's have fun and make some good trouble too!
For the first part of the meeting, I want to introduce the form/ nature of the group and its relationship to Red, Wine & Blue. For the second part, I'd like for us to discuss organizational structure and practical issues for running our local group. For the third part, hopefully we can agree on some focus areas for us to work on as a group and as individuals (e.g. Project 2025 education, Bodily integrity for women, Rights of parents to educate and decide on medical care for their children, etc.).
There's a lot of enthusiasm for the Harris campaign. In fact, I imagine everyone in the room will be planning to volunteer in some way for the Harris campaign and for Democrats in general. (Heather Bauer is my Representative and I plan on campaigning for her!) However, I note that the organization Red, Wine & Blue is offically a non-partisan, 501(c)(3) organization, so we need to focus our Good Troublemaker meetings on issues and methods for advocacy, as opposed to any particular political party, candidate, or campaign.
(Zorba's doesn't allow reservations of their private room until after 2:00 PM.)
There will be food and drinks available for purchase, and there's no room charge.
