Meals in Bag - Feeding our Community

Come help us make 100 meals for our community.  Last week 5 of us got together rather last minute and managed to make 26 non perishable meals in a bag and delivered them to blessing boxes throughout the area.  The need for food is not getting any smaller and the hope is with these meals, with all the needed ingredients it will not only feed our neighbors but ease the burden of one more decision to make when already feeling overwhelmed.  

We will be assembling 20 of 5 different meals. We will be making family size (serves 4-6) Thick & Creamy Corn Chowder, Minestrone Soup, and Cheesy Chicken & Rice Soup.  We will be assembling Just the Two of Us size of Chili Mac and Chicken with Gravy and Potatoes.  All of the meals are made with shelf stable canned and boxed goods.

When we are done those who would like to can take a few or many of the meal kits to deliver to anyone they know who might need it as well as to put in Blessing Boxes throughout the region.

Many hands make light work.  If you can donate items but cannot attend, reach out and we can either arrange for them to be dropped off with someone who is attending or dropped off at Heidi's house.  If you cannot attend but would be happy to help deliver meals to blessing boxes, let us know and we will make a plan for you to get meals to deliver. 

The location is to be determined I am going to reach out the Barco and Camden libraries to see if their community room is available or if anyone has another location, please let me know.
