May 17 Firewall Meeting

Good Neighbors Getting It Done meets monthly with the Firewall, which is an umbrella organization for advocacy groups and activists who are building a metaphorical firewall to protect democracy. Firewall is a coalition of concerned citizens who support democracy and the rule of law that meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the UU Church of Amherst.

Light refreshments and conversation will be enjoyed from 9am to 9:30am. At 9:30 the Firewall will convene with an opportunity for groups such as ours to share our burning issues and recommended actions for Firewall members to bring back to their communities. Other speakers who have a burning issue and action plan should check in at 9am with Dian.

Our featured speaker for the May Firewall meeting is Randy Hoak, Commissioner of Senior Services for Erie County. After meeting as the larger Firewall group, we will break into smaller groups to focus on specific actions and areas of interest.

Firewall is not affiliated with the UU Church of Amherst.
