Lobby Day and Read-In at the North Carolina General Assembly

Plans are underway for a Lobby Day at the North Carolina General Assembly.  Meet your legislators and learn how to make your voice heard!  We will voice our opposition to some damaging bills involving book bans and eliminating DEI initiatives.  We will host a Read-in where banned books will be available for your review.  This is advocacy at it's core and something that all of us should learn to do.  You should be able to meet with your legislators and tell them what you think.  This will be a great opportunity to learn and advocate.  Spend an hour or two in the gallery of the legislature in the afternoon to see how laws are made.  No need to be nervous, we will all be there together!
