Rage Against the Regime Livingston County 8/3 - Let's Talk Project 2025

The next national day of protest for LivCo will focus on those who are enabling the regime. Extremists have a playbook to destroy our democracy, and they’ve already put it into action. Did you know that Project 2025 has its tentacles here locally?  

DETAILS:

The message from larger organizations like 50501 for this protest is ‘Rage Against the Regime’ and we’ve been tasked with holding the demonstration at a more meaningful location, such as places that are enabling the regime. Our rural area doesn’t have offices for FOX, Tesla, or Amazon type of corporations, so we started looking at whether or not there were any local Project 2025 connections. That’s when we realized that ‘Alliance Defending Freedom’ (ADF) is one of the organizations behind Project 2025.

Floodgate pastor and Cromaine library president Bill Bolin is one of the elected officials bringing Project 2025’s agenda into our community. Bolin admitted at a recent library board meeting that he is working with ADF's lawyers to do exactly this  (more info here and here regarding that situation).

ADF = Project 2025, Bolin’s Floodgate church is the perfect place to draw our communities attention and make good trouble!

LOCATION

We will be protesting on Sunday, August 3rd from 9:30-11:30am during Bolin’s big weekly service at the south east corner of the M59/Old23 intersection in HARTLAND, on the sidewalks in front of Speedway (this is less than a mile from Floodgate church). The national date is 8/2 but we are using the weekly service to ensure visibility. 

PARKING
There is plenty of parking at 10081 Highland Rd. Howell (Howell address yes, but this is indeed Hartland) which is the old Walgreens, directly across M59 from Speedway. Handicapped parking would be best at Speedway, towards the back of that parking lot.

BATHROOMS
Are at Speedway, bringing a little money can ensure access. There are lots of fast food places nearby. 

Note: this is close to *busy traffic, not a good one for younger kids.

ADF is designated as a hate group by the SPLC, they are currently working hard in the courts right now to overturn conversion therapy bans! ADF’s ultimate goal is eliminating LGBTQ+ American status as equal citizens in the courts. 

Bolin’s feigned concern for “pornographic material” in libraries is as much of a hypocritical farce as his carnival barker style sermons on closer examination. Bolin has called Bill Johnson, senior leader of the controversial charismatic Bethel Church in California, a “personal friend” he “will not disavow” despite national media reports that Johnson allegedly aided in a coverup of child sexual abuse and sexual assault by clergy behind church doors (source).

This is a story we’ve all heard played over in the news media to everyone’s disgust. But Bolin refuses to denounce his ”personal friend” over such abhorrent allegations coming from inside Johnson’s own church (source).

From rapid response protests to coordinated mass mobilizations, we’ve been turning rage into power — and the American People’s Movement is only growing.

This isn’t a moment. It’s a strategy.
Nonviolent. Uncompromising. Community-led.

We’re not here to perform protest. We’re here to disrupt systems and build something stronger in their place.
