Access to Reproductive Health Care for Women in South Carolina
.jpg)
A panel of experts and activists in the fight for women's reproductive rights will discuss the legal court cases relevant to SC women (including the current case from SC going to the US Supreme Court, which could result in loss of funding for all health services offered by Planned Parenthood), status of current legislation proposed in SC imposing a complete ban on abortion, and practical things that are and can be done to support women who need reproductive health care in South Carolina.
Panelists include Kathleen McDaniel (an attorney with Burnette, Shutt, McDaniel law firm, involved in the legal cases), Vicky Ringer (Planned Parenthood), Ashlyn Preaux (Palmetto State Abortion Fund), and Alston Lippert (Washington Street United Methodist Church)
Although this event is being held at the SC ETV location, it is sponsored by Central Midlands Good Troublemakers and not ETV.
