Latta Nature Preserve & Raptor Center

Latta Plantation Nature Center forms a green peninsula extending into Mountain Island Lake and protects a natural heritage site, several endangered plants (Schweinitz's sunflower and Michaux's sumac, and Georgia's Aster), and has hundreds of species of animals including bald eagles, wild turkeys, and red and gray fox, mink, and more.

We'll hike for 10 miles, then visit the Raptor Center!
