Know your Rights Update

The workshop will focus on helping families develop emergency preparedness plans, particularly for those with children in K–12 schools. We will also discuss ways families can build trusting relationships with their children’s schools so they know where to seek support and guidance in the event of an emergency.

In addition, we have updated the Know Your Rights (KYR) portion of the presentation to include more detailed information about judicial warrants, guidance around recording interactions, and steps individuals can take if they are detained.

The workshop will be offered in English & Spanish.
