June Monthly Meeting - Deep Canvassing Training

We will be hosting a deep canvassing training led by our Ohio Democratic Party regional organizer. Deep canvassing is a different kind of outreach—focused less on “making a pitch” and more on having real, respectful conversations that help us understand what matters to people and why.

This approach matters because people rarely change their minds from slogans or quick arguments. Research and experience show that thoughtful, two-way conversations—where people feel heard rather than persuaded—are far more effective at building trust and opening space for reflection over time.

You don’t need any prior canvassing experience to participate. This training will walk you through simple, practical ways to have conversations in a way that feels natural, human, and grounded in listening.

If you’ve ever felt unsure about canvassing—or thought it wasn’t for you—this is a great place to start. It’s approachable, meaningful, and often surprisingly rewarding once you see how powerful a good conversation can be.

PARKING
