July 4th in Brevard!
Join fellow Good Trouble Makers as we make the Constitution come to Life!
Saturday, July 4th from 11:00 am - 5 pm
We're going to need lots of help - many hands make light work! We hope you can spare an hour or two to help us achieve our goals!
We will be joining fellow Brevardians as the Walking Amendments! GTT volunteers will "woman" our booth outside of D.D. Bullwinkel's ~
We will have opportunities to check voter registration status and encourage folks to make sure they are registered and will vote in November!
For the kiddos~ weather permitting we will have a Schoolhouse Rock -America screening area for the younger ones to learn about our country's history - Old School. Popcorn will be served!
We have also created wearable "scrolls" with each of our Constitutional Amendments described~ our goal is to engage with the community and kids to help them learn and remember the rights granted to ALL under our governing documents.
The 250th Anniversary is historic for many reasons - but perhaps the most important one is that we need to assure our future as a democracy in the United States. We hope to see MANY of you and your families in town~ both for the daytime events and the evening fireworks.
