Is There a Better Way to Vote?

Greetings!

The November 4th election reminded us again of our privilege and our right to vote.  The various wins around the country for governors, mayors, and propositions that made the national news also reminds us of the focus on party politics and highlights the divisiveness in our system. 

What if there was a better way?  Better Ballot Iowa is a new kind of political movement bringing together voters across the spectrum around systemic reforms to make our political life more positive, constructive and productive.  Who wouldn't want that?!  Matt Wetstein, Board President and Public Relations Lead for Better Ballot Iowa, will join us to educate us about their work.  Come and learn how we can influence and change the current system.  Matt is passionate about this work and will be prepared to answer any questions you have.

At this time of year, if is common for people to contemplate the things in their lives for which they are grateful.  We will provide an opportunity to identify the many things for which we are grateful, and find ways to express it to individuals, groups and our community.

We are back at our usual location, St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 209 Colorado Avenue, Ames IA.  Doors open at 6:30pm and the program will start at 7:00pm.
