WELCOME and THANK YOU!
Thanks to all of you who attended the February Meeting of Indivisible Colorado Springs. The February Meeting was STANDING ROOM ONLY, NOISY AND HOT. It was heartening to see so many people passionate about saving our democracy.
The March meeting will again be at First United Methodist Church (FUMC) on March 27, 2025 at 5:00. The sanctuary will hold 1000 people.
We are striving to make the next meeting more effective in several ways. Among other changes, we now have an A/V person lined up; we will be in a room that holds 1000, with individual break out rooms and will have an ASL interpreter.
We will have an agenda out to Action Team leaders in advance. If you have other suggestions as to how we can best service our growing community, or requests for accommodations, please drop a note to one of the current steering committee members or reach out to your Sub-Group leader.
We'll do the best we can. Our organization is barely three months old; we appreciate your patience and feedback as we grow into the organization we need to be! Please help us spread the word, we want to be a chapter that is more representative and inclusive of all voices in our region. Together we are stronger. We are Indivisible Colorado Springs.
Action Team Leaders have been given a list of those who signed up with their group as a first choice of participant. If you are not already in touch with your group, you should hear from them soon.
Please continue calling and emailing congress people locally, statewide and nationally telling them your concerns and preferences. Try these links for contact information.
CommonCause will help you find your elected officials
USA.gov is another way to contact your elected officials
5Calls is an app that lists your elected officials and their contact numbers.
50501 is a website worth following – they post nationwide calls to action
Colorado Springs People’s Coalition (CSPC) have been the organizers of many of the local actions held in Colorado Springs, let’s be sure add our support.
With our mailing list now exceeding 450 we will soon begin utilizing an app provided to us by Indivisible National. It is called EveryAction. This application will allow for much more efficient communication. The downside is that the contact information you've shared with us will be shared with National. If you would like to be OPT OUT of being included in the National Mailing list, please email:
[email protected] with the subject line OPT OUT. If you are already receiving emails from National, we believe that duplications will be eliminated. We have updated our online registration form with an opt-out option.
