Zoom link will be emailed to registered attendees

Join us for a Zoom talk on “Identifying and Encouraging Candidates to Run for School Board and City Council.” Our guest speaker is Naz Hamid, who will also engage in an open conversation with attendees, so bring your questions. Afterwards, attendees can research upcoming elections in our county/state, or they can meet in breakout rooms with people from their district or city to start collaborating.

Naz Hamid is a commissioner and vice-chair of the Community Services Commission for the City of Irvine. She served on the Democratic Party of Orange County central committee where she helped to find and recruit great candidates for elected office. For the last eight years, Naz has also served as the Honorable Paul Bokota's appointee to the Health Advisory Committee for the Irvine Unified School District and provided community input for the deployment of the ethnic studies curriculum in Irvine schools. Naz serves on the boards of the Irvine Democratic Club, the Orange County Equality Coalition, and Supporters of Public Education—Orange County.

Hope to see you there, and feel free to invite a friend!
