How to Shop Your Values!

We all make many purchasing decisions every week.  We buy groceries, clothing, school supplies.  We purchase services: haircuts, plumbers, lawn care.  We pay mortgages, rent and utilities. Sometimes we buy on-line.  Sometimes we buy from a “big box” store.  Sometimes we shop “local”.  Do all these decisions matter?  Do we even think about our purchasing decisions? Should we think more carefully about how, where and what we purchase?  How would we do that?

Join us at our regular monthly gathering to learn more about how to shop your values.  Learn how thinking more about your purchasing could influence your voting.  We’ll hear from a panel of small business owners in Ames about what it means to shop local and how it impacts our community.

The doors will open at 6:30pm and the program begins at 7:00pm.  Please invite a friend to learn and be inspired to action.
