Hope in the Heights July Meeting

The events in Los Angeles have thrust the Trump's regime's abuse of immigrants into the spotlight. As Angelenos step up to fight for their neighbors, are you wondering what you can do close to home?

Americans Making Immigrants Safe (AMIS, pronounced ah-MEE) is the only local nonprofit with an emphasis on assisting asylum seekers as they settle in the Cleveland area. AMIS provides assistance with housing/rent, moving expenses, utilities, food, clothing, medical expenses, furniture, household supplies, mental health counseling, legal representation and more. 

AMIS president Anne Hill and Hope in the Heights member Jennie Kaffen will share more about their organization's work and how we all can help local immigrants during these troubling times.
