Happy New Year! Meet, Greet, and Service Project

We'll spend some time on introductions first--Let's hear what your interests are and what kinds of trouble you're looking forward to making this year with us.  We'll take a minute to look back at the past year's efforts together, rough out a big picture of the year ahead, and then move on to our service project:

Last year we collected food for Cornerstones during our January 20th meeting (Remember that day??).  Of course, it was a big day for our nation--Together we celebrated the memory of the good doctor, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  It was in his honor that we started the year with a service project.  This January's service project comes with a little bit of creative flair.  It's called Point of Pride, and it involves making thoughtful, colorful notes of encouragement to trans youth.  You can read all about it and see some examples here:                        https://www.pointofpride.org/letter-writing

If you would like to contribute a few dollars to go along with the notes, which helps pay for the shipping of the free personal items that the notes are sent with, you're welcome to do so.  You'll also have the option to contribute a few dollars to the Cat Ladies' spending funds.  We understand that these are not the easiest of times, so please remember that there will be no pressure at all to contribute financially.  Your company in our TroubleMaking is a valued contribution to our cause.
