Know Our Own History! Guided Tour of the South Carolina Civil Rights Museum in Orangeburg, SC

Carpool (and perhaps share a lunch) then receive a guided tour of the South Carolina Civil Rights Museum in Orangeburg, SC.  The S.C. Civil Rights Museum is a private, nonprofit museum founded and curated by professional photographer and civil rights activist Cecil Williams.  Mr. Williams has covered SC Civil Rights history from the time he first took a photo of Thurgood Marshall stepping off a train in Charleston, to the Orangeburg Massacre, and on to the present day.   See first hand photography and artifacts, and hear oral history that is related to OUR shared story of Jim Crow and the fight for Civil Rights in South Carolina.

Technically, admission to the museum is free, but it is a private nonprofit and donations are very kindly suggested, in an amount you feel comfortable giving.
