GTLFK Voting & Elections Team Meeting - Let me know if you need to attend via Zoom, please

Hello friends! 

Ann and I just got back from vacation so we're busy catching up with EVERYTHING at home, work, and GTLFK. I want to remind everyone that our next team meeting is coming up -- Wednesday, May 6th, 5:30 PM, Gail's House (3166 Yankee Tank Ln).

I'll be working on an agenda with Ann. Meanwhile, please review our notes from the last meeting (attached) and the action items we had as follows:

-       Everybody- Review Resource Guide on website - send Gail feedback

-       Everybody- brainstorm events for tabling

-       Everybody - identify 18-40 year olds for focus group with Griffin

-       Action item for monthly meeting - identify PCP in Neighborhood

-       Ann putting business cards on cardstock

-       Julie Check on who is needed to be notified at KU to table on campus.

-       Sarah to create a timeline for tabling opportunities/ election events - highlight the Deadline to register to vote: Oct 13th for general, July 14th for Primary Election

-       Sarah reach out to library to see about tabling 

-       Julie identifying League of Women Voters information, try to get a contact

-       Griffin Identifying ACLU resources

-       Gail starting poster board for events

-       Larry Following up with Marilynn Hock about presenting at meeting

-       Coms Team - find someone from KU to discuss communication skills/ Advocacy at monthly meeting 

Join me at Sunday's protest at 9th and Massachusetts in LFK , noon to 1:00! There's a lot to push back on, not the least being the atrocious ruling by the Supreme Court on gerrymandering, so I hope to see many of you. The weather looks amazing! And I'll be happy to grab lunch afterwards if anyone wants to.
