Good Trouble Lives On – Livingston County, Michigan

Join us on Thursday, July 17, 2025, for Good Trouble Lives On – a nationwide day of nonviolent action to stand up for our rights and strengthen our democracy.
We’ll be coming together in HOWELL as part of a growing movement of people who believe that fairness, freedom, and having our voices heard still matter. This event is inspired by the legacy of Congressman John Lewis and the idea that sometimes, the best way to move things forward is to get into a little “good trouble.”
We’ll be sign waving during rush hour along Grand River in front of the Historic Howell courthouse from 4-6pm. It’s about showing up, speaking out, and making sure we’re not sitting on the sidelines while so much is at stake.
Whether you're deeply involved or just showing up for the first time – you’re welcome here. Let’s keep good trouble going, together.

UPDATE- Back to School Supplies Donation Drop!
True liberation doesn’t come from fireworks or flag-waving. It comes from community. From care. From having each other’s backs when systems fail.
In 2025 it’s reported that “Across Livingston County, there are a whopping 725 students in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)” But House Republicans passed a School Aid Fund budget bill that included cuts to the GSRP, a program that funds preschool for four-year-old children. The Michigan Department of Education has voiced concerns about the potential negative impact of these cuts. Since Great Start LivCo is directly associated with the GSRP we decided to assist them this school year.
As we continue to grow LivCo’s Mutual Aid Network we are asking that when you join the next National Day of Protest on 7/17 in front of the Howell courthouse that you bring school supplies or a backpack to donate which we will give to Great Start Livingston for distribution on 8/7. Please click this link for a full list of needed supplies -> https://www.livingstonesa.org/sites/default/files/2025-05/supply%20wishlist.pdf No worries at all if you can’t afford to donate!
Short on time? Make a monetary donation, and the team will shop for you! Donate online via PayPal or in person at the Livingston ESA.” https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=848VFTPYS6BRN&fbclid=IwY2xjawLcsmRleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFjcEV6UjVLd1FIaDVxWFFuAR4ATPjTmO1VPmb79MgxhyAVQxBX3vFU_yL65uBs0pAEM1XReHnWTHmDIMMqFg_aem_MVDCk7P8uH67Mgrcdp59uQ
