General Meeting: Don't Just Wine About It
Please join us for our May General Meeting. We will discuss updates from our 4 committees, action calls and upcoming events!
Our guest speakers this month will be our very own LQBTQIA+ co-chair, Melinda Hubbard! She will be bringing along Riley Taylor of the ACLU Southwest Ohio Action Team to share a Know Your Rights presentation. In this presentation, we will discuss your rights regarding your reproductive care, LGBTQIA+ care and safety, and your rights when you are protesting.

A little about Riley and Melinda:
Riley has been serving as the SW Ohio Action Team leader for several years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her position. Melinda has not been involved with the ACLU for long, but has jumped in with both feet! She has been through the Know Your Rights training with Riley and has already helped deliver this presentation in Cincinnati. She has helped to organize an overwhelmingly successful public meeting for the Action Team, and is a member of both this organizing team and the Policy Research Team. She is looking forward to doing more of this important work. Melinda is a member of PFLAG Cincinnati and is active with several other groups in the region.
A little more about Melinda:
By day, Melinda is a professor of management at the University of Cincinnati, Lindner College of Business, a proud momma to three wonderful children and two crazy puppies, and a wife to a beautiful man, Christopher. Prior to becoming a professor, she did all kinds of things including being an opera singer, a corporate executive, a self-employed speaker/leadership coach, and a small business owner. She sews, knits, hikes, and spends hours reading feminist theory and substack, including Heather Cox Richardson, Joyce Vance, Robin Snyder (love her snark) and Erin in the Morning (among many others).
