Find Our Fire
1. Grace and Grit Check-In & Welcome (10–20 min)
- Grab a snack, take a seat, and let’s catch up.
- Space to vent, share frustrations, small wins, or just breathe.
- This is about community care. No pressure—just presence.
2. Committee Formation & Roles (25–30 min)
🔥 “Find Your Fire”
We’ll talk through the different areas where we might want to focus our efforts and set up committees based on what makes sense for our group—even if it starts with just one person in a role. I ask that each member commit to helping in at least one area where they feel motivated and able to contribute.
Proposed Committees:
- Voter Engagement & Registration
- Fundraising & Resources (including Voter ID aid)
- Rapid Response / “Hold the Line” Network
- Narrative & Storytelling (#WhyIMarched campaign)
- Power Mapping & Local Pressure Campaigns
- Coalition Building & Outreach
📌 We’ll document each group’s purpose, immediate next steps, and communication plans.
3. Focus + Direction Discussion (30–40 min)
🧭 “What Are We Fighting For?”
We’ll align on our primary mission. There is so much being thrown at us that we can easily get distracted. So it is important to determine what we are going to focus on to have the biggest impact:
- Educating and mobilizing Steele Creek voters
- Helping residents get IDs and access to the ballot
- Pushing local leaders to publicly reject Project 2025
- Organizing for rapid response to authoritarian overreach
- Amplifying local women’s voices and stories
✅ Outcome: Agreement on top 2–3 priorities and what we want to accomplish by Election Day.
