Have fun, make friends, and build community in a participatory discussion about Mutual Aid: what it is, why do it, and how to get started! This will be the first in a series of gatherings by and for the Ellicott City community to identify needs and get to work.

If you’ve felt disconnected or discouraged in the face of current events and are looking for ways to engage in local community building, come out and talk with your neighbors about cooperation for the common good! Mutual aid is when people get together to meet each other’s basic needs when the systems we live under don’t or won’t. This discussion will introduce Mutual Aid, how it works, it’s history in the United States, and how we can use these ideas to create support systems for us and by us. We're all we've got and we're all we need!
