Elections: What do you want to know?

To prepare for next fall's elections, Lucy Martin, Story County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, will join us to discuss a range of issues relating to elections:
  • Changes as a result of legislation passed in the last session, including how County Supervisors will be elected in Story County.
  • Ballot for next fall, who and what will be on it.
  • Election security.  Keeping voters safe.  Keeping data safe.
  • Being a poll worker, what does it take?
  • How are voter rolls managed? Are they purged? When and why?
And most importantly, Lucy will answer all of your questions about elections and being a proactive and responsible voter.

We will also acknowledge positive outcomes from the past legislative session by writing notes to legislators. We will request that bills that did not pass, are not brought back for further consideration.  We will bring materials to support the note writing.

We will open the doors a little early, at 6:15pm, for anyone who would like to come and make some signs. Markers and materials will be there for you. The program will begin at 7:00.
