Dirt Road Democracy: Fighting for Healthcare & Education in Red State America

We have an August meeting you will not want to miss!

Join us on Monday, August 10 at Ti Amo Ristorante (61st & Sheridan) as we welcome Jess Piper — rural activist, former educator, and one of the most compelling progressive voices in red state America.

Jess spent 16 years as an American Literature teacher before deciding to run for a Missouri House seat in 2022. She didn't win but she didn't stop either. Today she serves as Executive Director of Blue Missouri and writes the widely-read Substack "The View from Rural Missouri," where she gives an honest, boots-on-the-ground perspective on what it means to be a Democrat in deeply red territory.

She'll be speaking with us about:
- Rural Democrats in red states, who they are and why they matter
- Healthcare access in rural America
- The fight for public education

This is exactly the kind of conversation Good Trouble Tulsa was made for. Whether you're fired up, feeling frustrated, or just looking for hope and strategy, Jess brings all of it.
