Community Building Event in Carteret County

Be the change you wish to see in North Carolina! 

Join community-minded friends and neighbors at Backstreet Pub in Beaufort on September 7, 2025 from 6:00-8:00pm to share ideas about some important topics that impact all of us. Come to discuss what's working for you and what isn't, and what changes you believe will make our community stronger and healthier.

Topics for this event will include:

We will have a station and listener/facilitator for each topic, and survey cards so you can note concerns and ideas for solutions. We highly encourage discussion!

Organizers will take all the feedback and provide it to Town, County, and State leaders for review and potential action. 

We will also begin to build working groups of passionate community members who want to work for change in a specific area or topic. If you feel called, please come ready to lead a group for change. Many hands make light work! 

Residents of Carteret, Craven, Pamlico and Onslow are welcome. We are all in this together!
