Launch the new school year with other Coloradans who care about public education in Colorado!
Let's get together to connect directly with other people! This is a low-key, virtual event - an opportunity to meet or reconnect with like-minded people who care about public education. No preparation needed! All you need to do is sign up - and then sign into Zoom to get into the event.
We know, for certain, that state, local AND national far-right extremists are attacking CO public school districts, our state board of education, our neighborhood schools, magnets, charters, etc.

- If you're part of another Red Wine & Blue group in Colorado focused on things in addition to or other than public ed, please join us. None of us needs to recreate the wheel and there's bound to be some overlap.

- If you want to just learn more about what the fight against extremism is about in our public schools, chances are high you'll find a fabulous connection.
- If you've been a community organizer for a really long time and are looking for people to pass the torch to, join us! You might be the perfect mentor someone is looking for.
- If you are involved in other advocacy or community focus groups and are willing to share your ideas, successes and failures with others, we've got a spot for you.
About charters, choice & public ed: Whether you are pro charter school, charter-skeptical, or seriously concerned about charters existing at all - there is a place for you.
About the separation of church & state and Christian Nationalism: This group values the right of all Americans to follow their own spiritual or religious path.
Online Safety Awareness:
If you want to participate but are worried about sharing your identity, we get it. Please don't let that stop you from joining this community. We know that some educators, board members, parents and community members have run into some unethical, aggressive online bullying. No one will be able to see the names of other participants until the event starts. If you need to keep your name and picture private, respond privately to the follow-up confirmation emails you'll receive closer to the event.
