Ohio Democratic Party Chair Liz Walters kicks off the day. Meet her and learn about OPD initiatives and how Clermont impacts Ohio. Liz is the first woman elected to this role. Throughout her career she has worked with people and organizations that support progressive values, including the Obama-Biden Campaign, Congresswoman Betty Sutton, We Are Ohio, the Ohio Democratic Party, the Ohio Progressive Collaborative, and many community-based nonprofits and community organizing groups.
How Things Work at the Statehouse, Rachel Coyle is the Co-Founder of "How Things Work at the Statehouse." She also serves as Programs Director at Ohioans Against Extremism and Policy Director at Honesty for Ohio Education. Rachel has previously served as communications director for a governor's race and state Senate race, worked as press secretary for a state party, and held legislative and campaign roles with the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus.
Effectively Supporting Candidates, Isaac Golf-Mitchell and Allyssa Riessinger of RGM Strategies. Isaac served as manager or consultant for Jessica Miranda, Rachel Baker and Hamilton County’s judicial slate ’s success campaigns. Allyssa is his partner and former candidate. Candidates.
Building a Strong Party Foundation with Precinct Captains Macie Grisemer, Executive Director Hamilton County Democratic Party. Clear expectations and follow through by Committee members create strong county party foundations. Hamilton County has been successfully refining the role for several years.
