Clearing Out/Calling In: A River Ritual

A meet-up at the Bad Little Falls Park in Machias!
If weather is favorable, we will meet at the falls. (Elm Street side, at the picnic table near the water, hopefully).

If the weather is not, we will meet at Laura’s house in Machias for much of the time but will still include a walk down to the falls. If weather is questionable, day-of notice will be given by noon on the 16th via email to all who rsvp.

Please bring Water. Wear comfortable walking shoes, adequate clothes for outdoors. Sun hat, sunscreen, raincoat, bug dope? A camp chair if you are not comfortable sitting on a picnic table bench. If you are someone who processes through writing, you might bring a pen and paper or notebook for journaling. If that’s not your style, no worries.

You are invited to prepare ahead of time by 

·         thinking about how you want America to look, post Trump. 

·         What about our American way of life, government, culture, society, did we have before that you would like to see continue? 

·         What did we not yet have that you would like to see brought about? 

·         Consider what is included in the current Democratic Party platform. https://www.mainedems.org/platform

Our discussion will center around these topics and then conclude with a simple, symbolic ritual at the falls.
