"How do we build powerful, lasting coalitions rooted in trust, shared values, and community care? Join us for a 90-minute interactive training inspired by Dreaming of Home by Cristina Jiménez—activist, author, and co-founder of United We Dream. This session will guide participants through storytelling, reflection, and hands-on strategy work to explore what it really takes to form and sustain community-rooted partnerships. Whether you’re a longtime organizer or new to movement work, this session offers practical tools and a space for collective learning In this session, participants will: Reflect on the meaning of “home” in their organizing work Explore coalition-building strategies drawn from Cristina Jiménez’s story Learn core principles like shared purpose, trust-building, and accountability Collaboratively design a coalition plan to apply in their own context Who is this for? Progressive activists, organizers, and community leaders—at any level—who want to deepen their skills in building coalitions that hold through difference, grow with intention, and win with love."
