"President Trump and Members of Congress have just passed a budget bill that represents one of the largest transfers of wealth from the working class to the obscenely rich in American history. As a result of the legislation, 16+ million Americans will lose their health care and it will result in 51,000 preventable deaths; more than a million children will go hungry; and working-class Americans will not be able to afford college.
We are building a powerful movement to hold Congress accountable for their support for the 'disastrous piece of legislation.' The first step is reaching out to Americans who will be impacted by this legislation.
In October we are going to text over 1,000,000 Americans in Congressional Districts across the country who are in danger of losing their health care or food assistance and let them know what has happened; who was responsible for these cuts; and invite them to take action to hold their Member of Congress accountable."
