Braver Angels: Skills for Managing Difficult Conversations

Political and cultural divisions can strain even our closest relationships. Anger, distrust, and frustration can make it difficult to talk with friends and family who see things differently.

Join us to learn practical ways to re-engage with friends and family in a constructive, respectful way—without sacrificing your own beliefs.

The in-person workshop will give participants an opportunity to learn and practice approaches for managing difficult conversations with people whose political or cultural views differ from their own. The goal is not to change anyone’s beliefs or persuade participants to abandon their convictions, but to provide tools that can help preserve and rebuild valued relationships despite disagreement.

Whether participants lean Red, Blue or Purple, all are invited to join the workshop and learn practical ways to communicate more effectively across political differences.
