Bi-weekly in person Meetings

Hi Everyone!
We're going to start meeting every other week here at our community park. This is a navigation link to the park https://maps.app.goo.gl/1nnGi6GKZRxd2XQU7 . There is a GATE CODE of 140. Jot that down. I hope you will be able to join us as often as you can. Everybody won't always be able to. In fact there will be times that we will opt to NOT hold a meeting so check the calendar before heading over EACH TIME. :-)
I'll try to have an agenda for the meetings, but it's mostly just to gather in person and discuss what's going on, what's working, and what's not, and who needs help with what.
Yesterday, at our first in-person meeting, we discussed the idea of having a citizen's reporter. This means is you pick the topic that you're most interested in and you do a deep dive on it and come back and share that with the group. We thought this approach might work best because there's so many topics to cover and you can't deep dive on every one of them. I'll put a document in the file section so you can read it and understand more about the idea.
I hope that you'll take a look at my website https://www.demdiva2017.com, I will start sending out weekly updates when I add something to it so that you will know about the new content. If there's anything that you would like me to add to it please let me know. I want it to be a nice place where we can all go to for resources. I connected my calendar to it and hope that you'll find that useful for the events/training that I'm attending. You'll have to register on your own, please don't try to login as me.
One more note about having our in person meetings here in our community; there are no restrooms, we'll keep the meeting short, but take that into consideration as you prepare to come to our meetings. Depending on the size of our meetings you may want to bring a lawn chair. Pay attention to the headcount of people signed up. I think our picnic tables will handle about 25 people.
I am sending out a Doodle request today so that you can select the best date and time for a Zoom presentation.
Thanks.
Denise
