"Are you concerned about what is happening in our country but you don’t know where to start? Come to this training to learn the basics about how to get started in organizing your community.

THIS WEEK, House Republicans are working overtime to put the final touches on Trump’s “big beautiful budget bill” which will, just for starters, kick 13.7 million people off of their health insurance. We know that when people lose their health insurance, they don’t go to the doctor when they are sick, and more people will die. That is not exaggeration - that is a fact. 

But that’s not all, this bill will cut more than $350 billion dollars in education, making going to college or getting a higher education even more expensive. And it will cut into supplemental nutrition assistance, otherwise known as food stamps, by some $300 billion. 

WHY might you ASK? Is it to help working families afford housing, healthcare and other necessities?  No, it’s because Donald Trump wants to make sure that his billionaire friends get a huge tax break. Under this bill, the top 0.1 percent, including people making more than $4.3 million, would see their incomes go UP by almost $400,000 - ALL paid for by ripping healthcare away from working class families.

IF WE ARE GOING TO STOP THIS THING, we will need to organize more people to join our efforts and grow our movement - and here’s the secret - they don’t want us to do this - they want us to feel despair, they want you to think that what you do doesn’t matter, and that we can’t change the course of history.
