Autism Awareness Month Bridging Communities Together

Women of the Hill community network group,  education & disabilitty advocates and CMPD are bridging communities together.  We will celebrate April with Autism awareness month and elevate literarcy programs. 

We are inviting families and community supporters.  Women of the Hill would like to bring our IDD disability community together with our Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.  We will discuss safety and public services that honors community relations and supports for disability.  We will hear from officers and their volunteer literacy programs and from our local business sponsor 3Ms Services LLC who provides services for IDD community members all over Charlotte. 

Women of the Hill is a community group that also celebrates women as the pillars of our society.  Last, but certainly not least, we want to celebrate and honor Charlotte, NC first female Chief of Police Estella D. Patterson.  While she may not be present for the event, we lift her up all the same.  There will be a short agenda, celebration, games, prizes and refreshments
