Attend our group learning session for The Persisterhood Oral History Project
You’re invited to attend an Orientation Session to participate in the Persisterhood Oral History Project. This zoom session will immediately follow postcard writing so join us for one or both. The Postcard Writing RSVP is a separate event on our events page.
The Persisterhood Oral History Project is collecting and preserving the diverse experiences of women who have become politically active in response to pivotal events like the 2016 & 2025 Presidential Elections, the Women’s March, the stripping of women’s rights, the attack on Democracy and freedom. Through these narratives, we aim to highlight the significant impact of women in shaping the political landscape.
We believe in the transformative power of oral history to inspire and educate future generations. Our commitment is to create a platform where these stories can be collected and preserved in the George Mason University archives for use now and in perpetuity so that our role in history can be heard, valued, shared and celebrated.
Whether you are ready to tell your story, know others whose story should be collected, or would like to help interview others, the first step is attending an Orientation Session.
