Are You Ready?!

There are open seats on the Ames School Board and the Ames City Council that will be on the ballot in November.  There is also a Mayor’s race.  Our goal is to be informed, engaged voters and to be prepared to ask probing and critical questions about how candidates will serve our community.  Do they share our values?  Do they have clear ideas and solutions to the issues our community faces?  To help us be as well informed as possible, we are inviting guests to help us understand the issues our community faces.  Confirmed speakers to date include:  Jeri Neal, Ames Climate Action Team; Angie DeWaard, Ames School Board, and Mindy Bryngelson, City Engineer.   We will also assemble teacher support packages for Kate Mitchell elementary school that evening.

The doors will open at 6:30pm and the program will begin at 7:00pm.  See you there.  Bring a friend!
