April 19 Firewall Meeting

Good Neighbors Getting It Done meets monthly (on the 3rd Saturday of each month) with the Firewall, which is an umbrella organization for advocacy groups and activists who are building a metaphorical firewall to protect democracy. Light refreshments and conversation will be enjoyed from 9am to 9:30am. At 9:30 the Firewall will convene with an opportunity for groups such as ours to share burning issues and recommended actions for Firewall members to bring back to their communities. The burning issue we are bringing as Good Neighbors to the April Firewall meeting is protecting Social Security and strengthening the social safety net. Other speakers who have a burning issue and action plan should check in at 9am with Dian. 

After meeting as the larger Firewall group, by 10:30 we will break into smaller groups to focus on specific actions and areas of interest.  Those who plan to attend the 11am rally in Niagara Square do not need to stay for the breakout groups. Protesters are encouraged to bring their signs and are welcome to carpool from the church.
