Advocate for Our Communities with State Legislation

Have you ever wondered how a bill becomes a law and how you can influence which laws are passed? The Maryland State Legislative Session is open and we have a short window to let our representatives know how we want them to vote on bills. 

This is a chance to learn more and get involved in the session. We will have opportunities in the meeting to send emails or call your legislators and we will work on building our capacity to support some of the upcoming legislative opportunities, including the ones listed below.  

If you have legislation you are advocating for and would like to share it with the group or other advocacy opportunities, please let us know and it will be added to the agenda.

Local and state actions are important and an area where we can have a measurable impact even with the current state of the nation.
